The Riding Club, located at 30 Irwin Road, Cedar Grove, was founded in 1994 and has grown  to
over 100 members, catering for the disciplines of dressage, show jumping and hacking.  The club
hosts internal member and open competition events and training clinics, providing a safe, relaxed
and fun competition and  learning  environment  for  riders  of  all  skill  levels  from  beginner to
advanced.

The club constantly strives to improve facilities and services to club members.  In 2010 we will be
implementing an ambitious
Facilities Plan  which will see a new kitchen for the  club house,  new
equipment storage shed  and  various improvements  to the existing club facilities.   Suggestions
from members for the Facilities Plan are welcome.  Please contact the committee with your input.

Management:
Cedar  Grove and  District Riding Club functions under the umbrella of  Equestrian Australia (EA)
National  and  Equestrian  Queensland  (EQ)  State  Constitutions.   The  club is  managed  by an
enthusiastic  and pro-active committee.

Facilities:
Cedar Grove and District Riding Club enjoys some of the best club facilities in the area.   We have
two  competition  grade  sand  dressage  arenas  and  a  fully  fenced,  floodlit  training  arena.
Additionally,  we  have  a  large, fenced  area for  hacking  and  showjumping  and  a  small  cross
country course.  Horse facilities include 18 yards and a wash bay with plans for a round yard and
additional horse yards this year.  Club house facilities include kitchen, meeting room, storage and
first aid areas and toilets.    The 2010  Facilities Plan  includes plans for a new kitchen,  funded by
Logan City Council, to ensure our food service area is compliant with food service standards and
health regulations.

Membership:
Membership  with  the  Cedar Grove and  District  Riding  Club, entitles you to access to the club
grounds and all facilities every day of the year except on competition days.   On event days,  you
must   nominate   to  compete  to  be  allowed  access  to  the  competition  areas   (arenas  and
showjumping  area).    We  provide a  fun, relaxed  and collaborative learning environment and a
great place to improve your skills and compete in the Olympic disciplines.  We publish a monthly
newsletter  and  hold  club meetings on the second Wednesday of  every month.    We also send
frequent  email  updates  to  members to let everyone know what is happening in the club.  The
email  distribution  is  a  great  source  of  communication  and  information  for  our members.
Members and sponsors also receive free advertising via email, newsletters and the web site.

Annual membership fees are $105.00 for individual adults or $125.00 for families.   This includes
a compulsory $35.00  grounds  maintenance  levy.    Half year membership will be available from
July, 2010.   Please complete the membership application form and mail it with your payment to
Sharon Ashwood at 188 Cedar Grove Road, Cedar Grove QLD, 4285.

Calendar of Events:
Please  see  the  Calendar section of  the  web  site  for  the  annual events schedule.  This will be
updated throughout  the  year.    If  you have any suggestions for events or you are available to
help,  for  just  an  hour or a full day, we’d love to hear from you.    Please email or call one of the
committee members.   All  events  are conducted under the rules of the
Risk Management Plan.
Riders,   members   and   visitors   must  abide  by  club  rules  and   the   conditions  of  the  risk
management plan at all times while within the club grounds.
